Volunteer | Work-Study | Seva Opportunities at Sat Nam Yoga
If you are a serious student and want to come often but don’t quite have all the funds, join our team. We are currently accepting applications and resumes for current students (minimum of 3 months to be considered) who are interested in our work-study program. Volunteer at the studio in exchange for practice time. Duties can include reception, cleaning, set up before and clean up after class, flyer distribution, promotion and helping out during community events. In exchange, you will be able to attend unlimited yoga classes, monthly community events, discounts on boutique items, workshops and trainings. We are also looking for tech savy, social media groovy peeps to spread the word about the awesomeness that happens here.
Seva (selfless service) is a wonderful way to be involved in our community and is really great for your karma btw. 😉

Annual Thanksgiving Day Sock Drive for the Homeless
Four years ago Abby was on the blue line talking to a homeless man. He showed her his feet that had severe frostbite. The hospital had released him without any socks!? From that day forward she vowed to make a difference, and the Thanksgiving Day Sock Drive for the Homeless began. The first year brought in 988 pairs of socks, the next year 1,400! Abby distributes the donations on Thanksgiving Day each year spreading a whole lotta love and TLC to Chicago’s Homeless, Women and Youth Shelters. If you interested in donating, cash and sock donations are collected at Sat Nam Yoga until Nov 20. Feel free to call Abby directly with large donations and thanks for your concern and support!
In our second year hosting a Love Your Brain Benefit Class, we spend the month of March raising awareness about traumatic brain injuries and raising fund to bring yoga to the TBI community.
Our Artist’s Solidarity Pop-Up Shop raised over $700 for Standing Rock Legal Defense Fund.
Karampal Kaur led a guided meditation and gong wash to benefit Sherpa families widowed by Himalayan mountaineering tragedies.
Heart for the Homeless is operated by yogi, Abby Zeciroski. She has met her goal of donating 1,000 2 years in a row thanks to your help.
