In the Kundalini Yoga tradition, we take a few moments to stay after class for an optional cup of Yogi Tea.  Join us for a community discussion, share practice tips and witness other random acts of kindness.

Purchase Yogi Tea in the Spirit Boutique and take tea time home.  We offer Yogi Tea packets ($5) that make a gallon of Tea!

Yogi TeaIngredients:
1/2 Gallon Water
15 cloves
15 whole green cardamon pods (cracked)
15 whole black peppercorns
1 medium finger of fresh ginger, thinly sliced
3 sticks of cinnamon
1 teabag of Black Tea
*Almond Milk and Honey to taste (optional)

Let’s get started:
Bring water to boil.
Add all spices except black tea bag. Boil 30 -45 min. Longer is stronger.
Finally, add black tea bag and boil another 5 min.
*The black tea is added last because it amalgamates the spices and sort of seals them. Also the tannins help assimilate the spices into the body. Serve hot or cold.

Yogi tea purifies the blood, lungs and circulatory system. It flushes the liver and has tremendous effectiveness in warding off colds, lowering respiratory infections and fighting off the effects of flu.
