Spring Renewal Series: Part I : Yoga and Taoist Practices to Support Liver and Lymphatics

  • Sat Nam Yoga Chicago 1304 West Washington Boulevard Chicago, IL, 60607 United States (map)

Part I of a three-part workshop series is designed to support the body’s transition from winter into spring using movement, acupuncture, and traditional warming therapies.

Part I : Yoga and Taoist Practices to Support Liver and Lymphatics

75-minute class

Spring is the season of renewal and the Wood element, which governs the Liver and Gallbladder in Traditional Chinese Medicine. As the body transitions from winter into spring, supporting these organ systems can help improve detoxification, circulation, and resilience during seasonal change.

This workshop combines yoga asana, Taoist internal martial arts practices, and dietary advice to support the healthy functioning of the liver and lymphatic system. These practices may help ease seasonal allergies and address many issues associated with this crucial organ system.

Accessible movements and techniques will be shared to help optimize a regular practice and support the body’s natural ability for self-regulation, detoxification, and balance.

A 30-minute break will follow this session to allow participants time to rest and transition before the next offering.
